⚠️ The mobile add-on only works if the Mailtrack browser extension is installed on your computer. Install the extension. The Mailtrack app for iPhone and Android works on its own and doesn't need it.
Mailtrack for Gmail can also track emails sent from the Gmail app on your phone. How? Using the Mailtrack mobile add-on.
What is the Mailtrack mobile add-on?
Essentially, it's a software program that you can add to the Gmail app on your phone so you can track emails on the go.
The install process for the mobile add-on is a bit different from that of the computer version. It's still quite simple, though, as this FAQ explains.
How does the Mailtrack mobile add-on work?
Once installed, it works in a similar way to Mailtrack on your computer:
-
You compose and send an email in Gmail (in this case the Gmail app).
-
Mailtrack adds a tracking pixel.
-
If the email's opened, the tracking pixel indicates this to Mailtrack.
-
Mailtrack sends you an open notification.
Unlike on your computer, though, Mailtrack doesn't add the tracking pixel automatically. You need to insert it using the option provided by the add-on.
Does Mailtrack work on iPhone?
Yes, the Mailtrack mobile add-on works with both iPhone and Android mobile phones.
First, though, you need to make sure to install the Gmail app on your iPhone. If you don't already have the Gmail app you can install it here.
